Message from the President:
Welcome to CAROCP, the Association of Career and College Readiness Organizations. We truly appreciate your decision to join us as we continue our mission of promoting and supporting the regional delivery of exemplary career technical education.
In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about career and college readiness and the importance it has on a student’s educational journey. But we’ve been advocating that for 50 years! We know CTE. We believe in it. We promote it. We advocate for it. It is why we live our mantra: Connect. Inspire. Achieve. We connect with industry partners, with educators, and with legislators to ensure our curriculum is aligned with Common Core and CTE Standards, and that our course offerings meet today’s labor market demand. We inspire students by providing them with credentialed instructors who have years of industry experience. Our teachers know what it takes to be at the top of their industry game, and mentor students so that they are well prepared for college, careers, and life after high school. We do whatever it takes to see our students achieve the goals they have set for themselves. Our classes are rigorous and relevant, many meet UC a-g requirements. We offer students many leadership opportunities, including CTSOs and internships.
But we cannot be successful without you! Your membership with CAROCP membership allows us to continue to our mission and strengthen our voice while providing you a number of benefits to its members including, but not limited to:
- A support network that can help with nearly every aspect of delivering high-quality CTE to students
- A strong legislative voice for CTE advocacy in Sacramento
- Opportunities to connect with representatives from CDE and other CTE organizations
We encourage you to visit the CAROCP website (www.rocpinspire.org) or contact Andy Page to learn more and to explore the ways your membership can enhance your professional career.
Wishing you all the best in the coming school year!
