The Rube-A-Thon competition is a challenge of creativity, communication, ingenuity and really quick thinking. A STEAM competition for the 21st century that pits student teams against other teams to create a fantastical Rube Goldberg machine along with an even more fantastical story.

Using only provided materials and a time limit, students will create a Rube Goldberg Machine to complete the 2024 National Task. While the machine is being constructed, specified members of the team will be crafting the story of their machine to entertain the audience and Judges. At the end of the time limit, teams will present their machines, tell their stories and have their devices evaluated by the Judges.
